Skin closure CS – 2020
This document is a research article published in the Galle Medical Journal. The article compares two different techniques for closing the skin after a caesarean section: interrupted suturing and subcuticular suturing. The study aims to determine which technique leads to better wound outcomes and patient satisfaction. The researchers conducted a prospective comparison in 400 women who underwent caesarean section with Pfannenstiel incision. The results showed that women who had subcuticular suturing had less post-operative pain, better wound outcomes, and higher satisfaction compared to those with interrupted suturing.
