Misoprostol Predictive model
This document is a research paper published in the Sri Lanka Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The paper discusses the use of vaginal misoprostol in the management of early pregnancy failures. The authors aim to develop a predictive model using different factors to determine the efficacy of misoprostol in medical management. The study was conducted at a single center in Sri Lanka, and data was collected from 167 women who underwent medical management with misoprostol. The overall success rate of misoprostol was found to be 62.3%, and the majority of women did not experience significant adverse effects. However, the study was unable to develop a predictive model using the selected factors, except for the presence of vaginal bleeding prior to treatment, which weakly associated with the success of medical management.
